How to choose the ring die compression ratio of various raw materials?
More and more people are processing various raw materials into granules. When processing different raw materials, how should the compression ratio be selected?
First we need to understand what the compression ratio is.
Compression ratio: the ratio of the effective working length of the ring die (the thickness of the die hole) to the diameter of the die hole (for example, the effective thickness of the ring die is 21mm, the aperture is, and the compression ratio is 1:7).
The compression ratio of the ring mold can be selected according to the raw material formula and product requirements. A low compression ratio can increase yield, reduce energy consumption, and reduce the wear of the ring mold and press roller. However, the particles are loose and of different lengths, and the feed pulverization rate is high; on the contrary, the particles are firm, smooth and shiny in appearance, and the pulverization rate is small, but the production cost is high. Users can choose the compression ratio of the ring mold according to their own needs. The compression ratio of the ring mold for livestock and poultry pellets is generally below 10, and the compression ratio of the ring mold for aquatic pellet feed is mostly above 10.
Excessive compression ratio will cause difficulty in discharging materials, low output, and serious damage to the machine. If the compression ratio is too small, the raw material will lack enough pressure to pass through the aperture, resulting in blocked holes, the temperature will also rise, and the machine will be overloaded. Therefore, it is very important to choose the appropriate compression ratio according to the difference of your own raw materials.
