First we need to understand what the compression ratio is.

Compression ratio: the ratio of the effective working length of the ring die (the thickness of the die hole) to the diameter of the die hole (for example, the effective thickness of the ring die is 21mm, the aperture is, and the compression ratio is 1:7).

The compression ratio of the ring mold can be selected according to the raw material formula and product requirements. A low compression ratio can increase yield, reduce energy consumption, and reduce the wear of the ring mold and press roller. Excessive compression ratio will cause difficulty in discharging materials, low output, and serious damage to the machine. If the compression ratio is too small, the raw material will lack enough pressure to pass through the aperture, resulting in blocked holes, the temperature will also rise, and the machine will be overloaded. Therefore, it is very important to choose the appropriate compression ratio according to the difference of your own raw materials.
